O Holy Night - Carols and Candles 2024

First Congregational would like to extend a hearty welcome to all who in their faith journey are hoping to engage in a community of faith that is welcoming to all people, and who are looking for pathways to encounter the sacred on their journey.

First Congregational United Church of Christ recently installed its newly called pastor, the Rev. Dr. John C. Dorhauer. He began serving the church in October 2023, and feels blessed to be called to serve a church filled with kind, compassionate, loving, and peaceful members.

First Congregational United Church of Christ has held throughout its history that our doors are open to all. We were part of the abolitionist movement during the time of enslavement. We are today a part of an open and affirming movement during a season in which lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, queer, and gender fluid persons become targets of hate and condemnation. We want everyone to bring their whole self to worship with us, and know that wherever they are on life’s journey they will be welcome here - and that their whole self will be honored as an authentic expression of the presence of the divine among us.
